This is not one of the more well known car shows but it’s a good size. It’s basically a Show and Shine that takes place August the 4th and takes over the main park in Keremeos, BC. They have a great pancake breakfast , free swimming for the kids , free admission for the public , a vendor’s alley , concession , music , awards , beverage garden , antique & vintage cars , trucks , tractors , muscle cars , street rods , custom and classic cars from all over the Pacific north west .
Keremeos itself has some very nice vintage custom and restored cars that you see driving around town. My new neighbor, Richard, across the street has a pristine Model A that I drool over every time he opens his garage door. He rebuilt it from the ground up with a lot of love that shows through. It looks just like it came off the showroom floor. I’m going to ask him if I can take some pictures of it.
I’ve also seen a beautiful blue mid 50’s Chevy pickup flash by while I was doing some yard work and there is also another green PU, looked like a Dodge, I saw in the distance driving into one of the smaller streets.
Having said all that, I had Marcel Morin and his wife from the local car club over and I presented them with three matted prints for their organization to sell to make a few bucks. I just didn’t have the time to prepare enough prints to have a booth this year but next year we will have a booth for sure. I’ll take the time that day to take a lot of pictures and hopefully turn that into some sales next year.
